Life Before Wrestling
fWo Survivor IV
Logic's application to Survivor IV was accepted by fWo officials. The contest was run by old time fWo wrestlers Frank Smythe and Brian Cage. The sixteen competitors were divided into two teams, Team Gold and Team Silver. Logic was drafted onto Team Silver, along with future PTC mainstay Doctor Curiosity. Almost immediately, Logic reached out to the Doctor, and the two men formed an alliance across team lines with Gold Team members Rana Venenosa and Brookes Davidson, in an effort to ensure that they would be the final four competitors left in the competition.
Their plan came to fruition over the course of a confusing competition. Curiosity believed Logic to be his assistant, while Logic dealt with the Doctor out of an interest to remain in the competition. Logic later stated that his goal was to be in the final two with Doctor Curiosity, as the Doctor was so offensive and arrogant to so many people that he felt victory would be secured.
The competition, at times, seemed to be out of the control of management. Several remaining Survivors even attended a Tuesday Night Wrestling show from the Squared Circle promotion, the invitation extended by Harvard Avalon himself. Indeed, some Survivors such as Osyrus found work with that company after their ouster from Survivor IV.
Once the final four was established, Brookes Davidson was the first eliminated. Unable to win immunity in the final immunity challenge, Logic was eliminated by the vote of Rana Venenosa, who would go on to win the contest.
The actual point of the competition was the subject of much debate by fans and competitors alike, but the crux of the matter would not be revealed until the competition was over.
Orlando Championship Wrestling
With their coup revealed, Orlando Championship Wrestling opened weeks following Meltdown and the upstart promotion's thievery of the fWo United States Championship. The promotion only lasted three shows before folding due to a rumored lack of financing. Over the course of his tenure in the company, Logic injured Black Spider IV in a Triple Threat match with his Proof Positive backdrop driver. Two weeks later, on what would be the final OCW show ever, he faced Kellen Kinkade for the rebranded OCW United States Championship. Both Frank Smyth and Brian Cage asked Logic not to use his backdrop driver on Kinkade, fearing a severe neck injury to the company's best known talent. Logic refused to promise that he wouldn't use the move, and Smyth and Cage went to the referee before the match, giving the official orders to not allow the move.
Over the course of a match that Logic considers one of his best in his career, Logic and Kinkade went toe to toe, move for move, until Logic's attempted backdrop driver was pushed into the ropes by the official of record. Kinkade retained his title with the Killing Spree, but Logic snapped post match, attacking both Kinkade and the referee. Indeed, the final image ever seen on OCW television is Logic standing on the turnbuckles after finally hitting Kinkade with Proof Positive.
David himself blames OCW's failure on Rana Venenosa's decision to go to the fans Wrestling organization, rather than follow the rest of the Survivors to OCW.
