The Creation

Date: June 25, 2000

Place: The MCI Center in Washington D.C.

UCWF -VS- FWL

For weeks Narcosis Rose and Jason Ayers would work hard on paper work.. on merging the two federations.. The two set in motion a joint PPV..

This would be the birth of the new Federation. As both federations one last time would battle for there titles.. Insane can became the First and last UCWF World Champion.. Justin Marks would claim the FWL title.

At the end of the night. The New federation would be announced and that Federation would be the Global Wrestling Federation.

Clash of the Titians one would see the unification of all the titles, And bring to life the GWF Championships..

After the initial clashes would happen and a few of the roster left the Federation for fear of change. GWF would grow, Only a few members of that early roster are still here, Salaok Quartz, Michael Gilson aka Kamikaze back then, TLM Derek Frost. Some of the Former stars returned. For a while.. Some even archiving greatness after there absence.

Soon Narcosis would leave GWF Television.. And Jason Ayers would run the GWF as he saw fit.. till His death.. Opening the door for Blade Entertainment and Eric Lansheer.

Who was the owner of Blade E. though? It came to light that Johnathan Davis, Who was presumed DEAD.. Was the owner..

Till Eric Lansheer swindled the Companies out from under The Scarecrow...

GWF Has grown in size and Strength over the course of the last two years.. It has seen The Rise and fall of many champions.. Some will forever be etched into our memories..

But the GWF is about the Future of Wresting.. And the Future is NOW. GWF is fast becoming one of the top federations.. As the talent gets Bigger Faster and Stronger.

With Lansheer's Greed growing out of proportion.. He placed twenty five percent of Blade E up on the stock exchange.. This was bout by a unnamed source...

Later a Blast from the past Johnny Cruse would step out of the shadows placing his twenty five percent of GWF stocks on the line.... in a Match... Jesse Briggs would win for Crystal Ayers....

Lansheer Hell bent on owning it all threatened the life of Miss Ayers. So she took his offer of Twenty Five percent of Blade E... What Lansheer did not know is who the mysterious man buyer was....

Jason Ayers would return from the dead... And state he now owned half of Blade E and was the NEW Vice President of The Federation...

GWF In this time signed some big names and After two plus years of Blood Sweat and teas, Not to mention thousands of hours of hard work, GWF's fate seemed dim. As Lansheer and Ayers were informed the federation would be forced to close....

BUT! Lansheer and Ayers working together on this One to keep a dream alive another to keep the cash flowing into his pockets.

After hours of Meetings, Ayers and Lansheer came to a agreement with the majority of the companies suing the Federation by Dropping the F there was now no reason to carry on with a lawsuit.. the others bucked after this and the case was tossed out.

With the disappearance of Jason Ayers, and the Kidnapping of Eric Lansheer.. GW fell in total chaos... Things got bad that GW seem to be closed. Network Contracts and TV deals gone.. Blade Entertainment put GW on sale.. on E Bay...

THANK GOD FOR BUBBA MCCOY!

Long time Commentator and Talent coordinator for GW. Bubba McCoy bought the fledgling federation.. Securing the contracts of several wrestlers.. and signing new rising independent stars... gaining TV deals and much much more... GW is entering a new Era once again.

GW is now in a Evolution of its own. Introducing the Octagon Ring was the first stage of this Evolution. Currently construction is underway for a Brand New GLOBAL ARENA located in Dallas Texas. New Owner Bubba McCoy has guaranteed this will definitely change the face of GW forever. And make the Stars and the Federation stand out amongst the rest.

With all this only one question can be asked. Are you ready for the future?

The End

Global staff announced that after an 8 year run, the fed was closing its doors on 3 January 2008. Chuck posted the following announcement on Global's boards:

Everyone and anyone who has been a part of or fan of Global (Wrestling (Federation)))....this is it. The final nail has been tapped in the casket and it will not be buried alive. Global is officially dead and closed.

Nearly 8 years of legacy is now done and despite what people may think, we have a lot to show for it. We all have proven that no matter what the odds and issues, a fed can still run. With strides and stumbles, mind you, but it still worked tremendously. We never "broke the #1 PTC fed" wall but we definately made our mark on the place. We put on some awesome shows and angles (in our own minds at least) that will not be forgotten soon. And at the very least....we proved that you can play this game, work your ass off to keep it going and still have fun.

There have been a lot of egos and dramas that came in and out of Global, but that happens no matter where you are, in real life and online. We still met some awesome people that we will still be friends with for years. We created an OOC evironment that you wanted to be a part of and b.s. with people who hung out there. And who can forget the spam?

What I want known and put on record is that Global was a place where some of the best RPers hung out and spent time at. Where 90% of the people who came here felt the instant pride of saying you were from Global. Outsiders said that Global was out to prove something. And we were. Global was out to prove that no matter what was going on....Global was HOME. And you can't mess with the home turf!

You could vent about life, pro wrestling, movies, school, relationships, anything here. And mere minutes after you posted it, someone else was there to talk you down and be a friend. Most of the people said "I was there" and it helped a lot. Some people had better support here than they did at their real home. They felt LOVED here! They were accepted. They weren't ostracized (ribbed maybe) for who they are or what they did. We were outcasts and icons. We were broken and bonded.

The only thing I regret really from this experience is that it could have been more than what it was. But there was always that one extra step we took that caused us to tumble down to the bottom again. But that's what made us humble. We knew that it could always get worse and tough through damn near anything. Only now there isn't much left. We have a couple diehards that are still around to an extent but don't have the time to keep it alive. The rest are still getting a grip for this place and I don't feel have the grasp of rebuilding a place like this with nothing.

So here I am. I am the only one left standing to rightfully close the door. The website is closed. The boards are damn near shot. And James....isn't here. So as much as you'll hate me for it old friend.....Global is dead and its not coming back.

To all those who are still around and want to try, I know FUSE is a good place to go and I suggest that you apply there. There is also a lot of awesome staffers that I know in GSW that would gladly take you as well.

To everyone who have spent their time and effort here, I thank you for your sacrifice and patience. You have given up your spare time and even extra time that you shouldn't have done to keep this place alive and interesting. I will miss you guys if I don't see you around.

At the very least I ask you to do one thing. Keep Global's spirit alive. If you see a former RPer from Global on the boards, on IM, or anywhere....talk to them. BS with them for a while. Catch up and see how they're doing. Remember the good times. Please don't flame each other or bash them saying "You're the one who killed Global" when it wasn't. No one really killed it. It was worn down and had to go, plain and simple. Never blame anyone for it. Never go for the scapegoat on anything. If anything, take the blame yourself like I will. Just keep a positive experience of this place and never let it go.

I could name a lot of people in this post and thank them for all their efforts....but that's 7 years people. I'll miss someone mostly because I can't think of everyone. And there are a couple I missed out on because I was gone at certain times. So instead just remember that you were a part of Global.

So long everyone......

Thanks!
