Joaquin Alain Pierre is a French professional wrestler and mixed martial artist best known for his appearances in GLOBAL where he is a former two time Platinum Champion and a former International Champion, FUSE, and Sin City Championship Wrestling where he is the current Gateway Champion.

Early Career Joaquin began amateur wrestling during his early teens, quickly becoming adept at the sport and becoming a fairly accomplished wrestler during his high school years. However, he soon became enamored with martial arts and began to train in them exclusively, namely savate and sambo. Initially, Joaquin's career began as a mixed martial artist, where he amassed a record of 17-9-2 with nine wins via knockout, six via submission, and two wins via decision. After growing bored with MMA, Joaquin attended a wrestling show in Paris and became interested in the sport, and later on that year made his pro wrestling debut. He made his first appearance in the United States in the BZW (Brian Zane Wrestling) as a jobber in the late 90's, losing on two occasions to Lance Storm under a mask, working as a masked wrestler named El Hurican.

After realizing that he would not gain exposure or make money in the US, Pierre returned to Europe where he became a decorated and quite famous wrestler in his native France, as well as in Germany, Russia, and England. During this time, he continued his martial arts training, working in judo, brazilian jiu-jitsu, and muay thai.

Return to America In April 2007, Pierre was offered and signed a contract with GLOBAL wrestling based out of Dallas, Texas. His early career with the company was rocky, as he lost to Karma in his singles debut and was tossed out of a Platinum Title contendership battle royal by Aka Osualdo. Pierre would, indeed, go on to lose his first nine GLOBAL matches before finally gaining a win, in a match with a pair of no names on an episode of Fusion.

The crowd began to get behind Pierre due to the fact that he took immense ammounts of punishment and kept coming back for more, fighting with everything he had until he was incapacitated, and he became a fan favorite. It was around this time that Pierre was assaulted by newly signed former DWO star Christian Darke, and the war between The Frenchman and the sadomasochistic Darke began.

Feud with Christian Darke/Resurgence Darke hit the ring after a Pierre loss, beating him down and hitting him with the Darkness Falls, the brutal move injuring Pierre's shoulder. Though he was legitimately injured, Pierre hit the ring only a week later, delivering a massive head kick to Darke as Darke was about to assault his friend Cassie West with the same move he had injured Pierre with. Two weeks later, Darke kidnapped and tortured Cassie while Pierre tried in vain to find them, finally opening Darke up with his sword, knocking him out, and challenging him to a First Blood match.

The match never took place, however, as Darke stated that he wanted to "maim" Pierre beyond recognition, and thus the 3 Stages of Hell match took place. The first fall, a First Blood fall, ended when Darke tied Pierre in the ropes and smashes several light tubes on his face, bloodying and wounding the Frenchman badly. Pierre kept fighting, though the punishment inflicted on him by Darke nearly finished him several times, eventually winning the "I Quit" fall by hanging his nemesis with a chain and hammering him with chair shots. Finally, after over an hour of warfare, Pierre took his opponent off of the raised stage area with a moonsault side slam, both men crashing and burning to the unrelenting floor below.

And when the dust cleared, the resilient Frenchman staggered to his feet just before the 10 count, winning not only the "Last man Standing" fall but also the bloody and brutal war. The two were not done there, however.

During the fall of '07, Pierre began to pick up steam, capturing the Platinum Championship from "The Eternal Punk" Shane Wethers with his trademarked finisher, the Au Revoir. Unfortunately for him, his first defense would be against old foe Darke, and it ended in controversy. Both Darke and Pierre aimed for big head kicks, and both men connected in stereo. Darke landed with an arm draped over Pierre, and Pierre landed with an arm draped over Darke. As a result, they were declared Co Platinum Champions. Two weeks later, Pierre would lose the title to Darke, who became the undisputed Platinum Champion, although Pierre was not pinned or made to submit, rather Darke pinned Wethers to win the title.

The two wouldn't clash again for a while, but Pierre would capture his second Platinum Title via the Au Revoir on James Varga, who had pulled off a massive upset by defeating Darke for the title the week before. Just after that, he defeated Darke again via the Au Revoir to qualify for the Master of the Mat tournament. He would hold the title until just after Master of the Mat, in which he competed in not only a MOTM match with Joshua Kosidlo (which he lost when Kosidlo hit the Ego Shot) but also in a six man Ladder Match for the vacant International Championship. Predictably, the final two men came down to Pierre and Darke, brawling in the center of the ring below a ladder set up above. Darke hit a big elbow strike, but Pierre returned the favor with a massive head kick that knocked Darke out and allowed Pierre to climb the ladder and claim the title.

Controversy'FUSE The day after MOTM, Pierre was unceremoniously terminated from his contract by Issaac Murdoch, and stripped of his dual Championships. He signed, along with former Global standouts Joshua Kosidlo, Corvus (also known as Eryc Morgan) and Jocque Noreault, losing to Kosidlo on the first edition of FUSE Uproar via a top rope Kosidlo Driver '07. After the match, it was announced that Pierre's appearance was a one off happening, as he would be returning to GLOBAL.

Return Unfortunately, things were not rosy for the former dual champion, as he returned to find the Nevermore, along with his nemesis Christian Darke, in control of GLOBAL. To get to Darke, he had to go through a man who had previously betrayed him in John "The Prophet" Adams, though Adams, the much larger man, brutalized him on several occasions. In the end, he was once more fired from GLOBAL, this time after losing at Dark Rituals to "The Black Rose" Juvian Ramorez after interferance from Adams.

FUSE once more Pierre returned to FUSE once more in late '07, losing his first 7 matches before pinning Jason O'Neil to advance in the Young Lions Cup. He then continued on an extended losing skid, before an opportunity was passed his way that he couldn't pass up. During this time, he also became embroiled in a bitter feud with Corvus, and was pinned by him in a Triple Threat Texas Deathmatch at FUSE on ESPN following Corvus hitting the Chapter 13 (Corvus would go on to win the match and also the dead AWC Livewire Title held by Joshua Kosidlo.)

In what many considered a huge upset, the Frenchman defeated El Diablo on the first edition of SCCW Temptation (FUSE had renamed itself Sin City Championship Wrestling due to legal problems) and captured the Gateway Championship in the process. He currently holds the title, and is still feuding with "The Obsidian Nightmare" Corvus. It is rumored that the two will meet at the upcoming SCCW pay-per-view with both Pierre's SCCW Gateway Championship and the AWC Livewire Championship held by Corvus on the line.
