Politically Incorrect was the tag team combination of William S. Powell and Reginald V. Lovecraft. They are notable for being the only tag team in history to hold the Primetime Championship Wrestling, Five Star Wrestling, and Old School Wrestling World Tag Team Championships.

Formation in NTICW

Hired to NTICW fresh off the independent circuit, it was decided that William S. Powell would be given a tag team partner. This man turned out to be Damian Beckett, who billed himself as the "Acting Governor of Georgia". The timing could not have been better for the team that came to be known as Politically Incorrect, as Primetime Championship Wrestling had just started a raid of other promotions in order to replenish its tag team roster. After no more than a few matches together, the Phantom Booker called Politically Incorrect up to PCW.

Primetime Championship Wrestling

Before the team could debut, however, Beckett's mouth got him in trouble, and earned him a firing from the company. The Politically Incorrect team name and gimmick would remain, though, with Beckett's Governor gimmick toned down and given to Reginald V. Lovecraft, a 49 year old latecomer to the sport, and the oldest man in PCW by several years.

Coming in during a time with a dearth of tag teams, Politically Incorrect found themselves quickly filling the gap, defeating every tandem in the company in a Gauntlet match to become the PCW World Tag Team Champions. Soon after this, the politicians joined up with PCW CEO Tyler Nelson, joining Nelson, Xavier Kannon, Tim Walden, and Nelson's bodyguards to form The Ultimate Authority. The stable ran roughshod over PCW for several months. The reign of terror would end at Shanghaied. however, with PI losing the tag titles to The Heartbreakers. and PCW itself firing every member of the roster in order to re-evaluate talent.

Politically Incorrect took this poorly, opting not to rejoin Tyler Nelson and Xavier Kannon when they reunited following the promotion's reconstitution. Instead, they formed their own stable, the short-lived Political Machine, with Mark Makonie, Jaden, and Andy Murray. In theory designed to take on Nelson and Kannon, the group spent most of its existence in a stable war with the Phantom Phive, as well as Akiyama. During this period, Lovecraft himself gained a measure of revenge on Kannon, taking the PCW Extreme Title from the Scientologist, but in spite of many chances, PI could never regain the World Tag Team Championships.

Deciding a change of scenery was in order, Powell and Lovecraft quit PCW, and began to put into motion a plan to become champions elsewhere.

Post-Wrestling Careers

Reginald V. Lovecraft retired completely from the sport after his time in OSW. He currently works for a prominent conservative think tank, authoring articles in favor of the right to bear arms and pro-life positions.

William S. Powell, unlike his partner, remains involved in the business to a degree. While also giving speeches for any organization under the sun (for an exorbitant fee, of course), Powell is also a known employee of friend-turned-enemy-turned-friend Xavier Kannon.
