The Primetime Invitational Tournament (aka PIT) was a 64 person tournament held in 2003 during the time that Trigger owned PTC. It was administered by Bobby (aka Jerrod, aka Chris Storm).

Originally, the PIT was supposed to be for a shot at the PTC Global Title, then held by Donny Diamond of the Dominant Wrestling Organization, but Diamond vacated the title just before the tournament. An attempt by Mr. Diamond to undo his vacating of the belt was not accepted, and the PIT became for the now vacant title.

PTC talents such as Kenny Mercury rose to prominence during the PIT, with Mercury's upset of then LOW World Champion Tristan Belmont serving as one of the most shocking upsets in early PTC history.

The final four of the tournament consisted of Seymour Almasy, representing the UWF, Kenny Mercury, also representing the UWF, Angelus Sorrow of the DWO, and Roulette of the DWO. UWF fought UWF and DWO fought DWO in the semi-finals, with Almasy and Roulette moving on to the finals. Almasy won the PIT after defeating Roulette, debuting the One Hit Kill finishing move after fending off Roulette's relentless attack on his left arm. He would go on to win the first Cruiserweight Tournament, defeating Karina Wolfenden in the final round, which along with his three Global Title reigns and high placements in several GTT's, cemented his place as a big name player in PTC history.
