Huffman began his early career as an 18 year old in a small American promotion called VPW. The firm soon folded due to financial irregularities and Huffman found himself out of work. After spending two years on the indy circuit in his native England, he signed a professional contract with XUW in May 2007.

Signed in 2007, Huffman made an immediate impact on his debut at Reborn 2007, winning the Television Championship against [[Stone]]. His high-risk style and natural showmanship made him in instant favourite with the XUW fans. He left the company shortly before it's closing in 2007.
