	Markus' right knee was severely injured from years of in ring abuse. To be frank, he shouldn't have been wrestling in the first place. Markus pushed through the pain, with some help from a virtual pharmacy of painkillers, and steroid injections. These, however, also proved to be an undoing. The medications that he was taken took their toll on Markus' psyche, and made his depression/paranoia tenfold worse. It is a vicious disease that he still struggles with today. When Markus finally did take time to attempt surgery, his knee had degenerated so much that his only option was to have metal plates bonded to the bones in his knees. After joining GCW, Markus and Tessa Windsor were able to lure Chris Storm into joining as well. The duo formed the most formidable tag team in GCW history, and would eventually win the Tag Team Championship and set the record for longest title reign in GCW. When they lost their titles to LeStatt Knight, due to Windsor's interference, Markus decided to take a break for a bit of time.

	Markus~~' personality has changed drastically over the years~~, and ~~the end result is a very bitter man~~. ~~Markus has dealt with a plethora of tragedies~~ and ~~difficulties in his years, some of them stemming from his childhood. The full extant of his hardships is unknown even to~~ his ~~closest friends~~, ~~as Markus has always denied help from any one. These days~~, ~~however, Markus seeks~~ to ~~take~~ the ~~pain the he feels inside~~, and ~~force others to endure the same hardships~~.		During his time away, Markus aggressively rehabilitated his injured knee, and seems to be in prime condition. Him and his best friend, Chris Storm, have returned to the GCW, primed and ready for another shot at breaking another GCW record.
