Scottywood (Born January 24th, 1978 in Bristol, Connecticut) is a professional wrestler currently wrestling in High Octane Wrestling where he is the reigning LSD Champion and holds the job of Commissioner. He is most well known for his run as owner/wrestler in Next Generation Wrestling. He currently uses the moniker of "The Hardcore Artist".

Next Generation Wrestling

In January of 2000, Scottywood along with business partner and friend Rodney “Ice” McArthur opened the Xtreme Wrestling Federation.

WWA

After only taking a month off, Scottywood made his debut in the WWA on May 20th, 2005 in a 11 man Battle Royal which he lost. He would continue to have a rocky time in WWA, only capturing 1 win in his 5 matches, before he parted ways with the company on July 11th, 2005.

Hate

Hate Wrestling opened on July 10th, 2005 with the first ever episode of Sunday Night Eternal Storm. While Scottywood still balance the roles as both wrestler and owner, he wrestled far less than he did in NGW, competing in only 8 matches with a 3-3-2 record. Though he still managed to have many memorable matches, including vs. Juvian Ramorez in a Falls Count Anywhere match on Storm, vs. Bloody Roar in a Philly Street Fight at Holy Hell and the 2006 Battle Dome at Border Line 2006. hate would close down around April 18th, 2006, giving it a nice but short 9 month run.

Return to Next Generation Wrestling

It seemed as if Scotty still had a passion to rebuild NGW, as on July 28th, 2006 we saw the return of NGW with their new house show NGW Live! Scotty became more active wrestling again, as during the 8 months NGW was back open he had 18 matches and challenged for the American, Xtreme and Battle Dome titles and would add 2 more Xtreme title reigns making his total 6 Xtreme title reigns.

His two most memorable matches in the return of NGW would have to be facing off against Bloody Roar in The Perfect Match IV at Out Cold 7 on January 20th, 2007. Unlike the Philly Street Fight in Ecnore where he lost, Scottywood would pick up the win in his own match. His other memorable match would be the 2007 Battle Dome, which many argue he won. But there was no official to count the pinfall that Scottywood had on Damien Ryan, thus Damien was never eliminated and allowed him to choke Scottywood out with barbwire to secure the win and the title shot. Unfortunatly Damien was never able to cash in his World title shot as NGW closed for the last time around the end of March 2007.

Global and Wrestling MidWest

Scottywood first attempted to join Global Wrestling in early June of 2007. He had one match with Joawuin Piere which he lost, and then back into retirement. He would then sign with WMW where he debuted on October 17th, 2007 where he teamed with Juvian Ramorez and beat 2 other tag teams to become the #1 contenders for the Tag Team Titles. They would then go on to win the titles the next week at the PPV. He would go on to hold those titles for almost 3 months, though changing partners midway through, substituting Ramorez for John Hitchin.

During this time Scottywood would also feud with Anton Garvis who was the reigning Ace Superior champion. Scottywood would try 3 times to win the title from him, but was not successful. Controversy soon arose in the calling of the match and Scottywood would leave WMW with his last match being on January 3rd, 2008.

During his stay with WMW though he also signed a new contract with Global and made a return on their November 10th, 2007 PPV Dark Rituals, where he competed in a Graveyard Battle Royal. He had a good showing but was ultimately buried alive and eliminated from the match. He would only have 2 more matches in Global after that, which included his only win in Global against Mike Storm on December 2nd, 2007, which was his last appearance in the fed as Global closed it's doors on January 3rd, 2008.

Encore Entertainment

While Scottywood was in WMW And Global he started working with Damon Alexander to created a new federation called Encore Entertainment, which opened on January 6th, 2008 with the very first episode of Sunday Night Showtime. Encore unfortunately had a short run of 5 shows and 1 PPV before it shutdown with it's last show on February 24th, 2008. Scottywood had 2 matches in Encore which resulted in a 1-1 record.

Battle with Alcoholism

During the months after the closure of NGW and during his stints in Global, WMW and Encore Scottywood battled with an addiction to alcohol which many believed hurt his performance in the ring, as he would routinely come to the ring buzzed if not drunk. After Encore closed Scotty's condition continued to deteriorate, as he had nothing to do all day but drink and play video games.

Scotty's wake up call came on April 12th at 2:30 in the morning when he was driving back from the bar with friend Frankie the Cameraman and Scotty swerved to miss what he thought was a deer, which was a stop sign and clipped a NYPD cruiser and rolled his car 3 times before it crashed into the display window of a local hardware store.

Placed under arrest for DUI and sent to the hospital for what would luckily only be a broken right forearm, bruised ribs and kneed and several cuts and lacerations. Frankie was taken to the hospital unconscious and diagnosed with a severe concussion and was in a coma. Scotty was released 2 days later and sent to Riker’s Island where he spent 2 weeks before he was released and the charges dropped due to Scotty’s high priced lawyers, which was rumored to have been paid for by Damon Alexander. His Lawyers arguing that the police did not issue Scotty his Miranda rights when he was arrested.

After being released from prison he gave up alcohol and started his training again and got himself to a trim 265 pounds. Though with Frankie still in the hospital there was a heavy amount of guilt on his shoulders and he started to slip into a dark state of mind which started to scare many close to him considering his already pre existing enjoyment for violence and anarchy. He started shutting out everyone from his life and for a good month was hardly even seen from. A wide range of rumors started to spread from he was playing internet poker and making 6 figures to he was planning the return of NGW, and one website even said he was “The Batman”. While he was making money during his month of isolation in his New York apartment no one is sure how the money was coming in, but many think Scotty is getting paid by Damon Alexander for a job he did while still in Encore, though if this is true it is being done off the books.

High Octane Wrestling

After looking over a few choices he decided to sign with Lee Best's High Octane Wrestling and made his debut on August 10th, 2008 at their War Games PPV in the War Games match. Out of the three team in the match he sided with Lee Best's Best Alliance and lasted a while and picking up 2 eliminations before being eliminated by Chris Kostoff and finishing in 8th place. After War Games, Scottywood would become a full fledged member of The Best Alliance which he is still a member of today.

He would then go on to feud with Chris Kostoff who was the LSD title holder at the time, and would go on to win the title from him on the September 8th edition of Monday Night Mayhem, which was only his 5th match with the company. As Kostoff would then become engaged in a feud with HOW Owner Lee Best, Scottywood went on to feud with Ken Davidson, who he would defend his LSD title against at the Rumble at the Rock PPV in HOW's first ever Crucifixion match. Scottywood would walk away the winner, after nailing both of Davidson's hand to the cross in the Alcatraz Prison church.

But the celebration would be short lived as he would loose the title back to Kostoff only two weeks after the PPV on the October 27th edition of Mayhem. Scottywood would then battle back to become the number one contender for the LSD again along with the current HOW Commissioner Jeff Harris. This lead to a triple threat House of Pain match being booked for HOW's ICONIC PPV on December 22nd, 2008, where both the LSD title and the job of Commissioner would be on the line. But weeks before the PPV, Jeff Harris took a buy out of his contract by the investors and left HOW. This left Scottywood and Kostoff to face off one on one in the House of Pain with the title and Commissioner job on the line. In what was a very brutal match, Scottywood came out the winner and claimed the LSD title for the second time in less then 4 months. Also at this same PPV, former NGW superstar and rival, Damien Ryan won a match to become the number one contender for the LSD title.

Also during these months, Frankie the Cameraman came out of his coma, but things were no longer the same. Scottywood thought Frankie was nothing but a distraction to him, holding him back. Frankie tried to patch things up, until Scottywood snapped in a Chicago McDonalds and SDTed him onto the floor, leaving him in a pool of blood. Frankie was dianosied with another concussion and started to suffer from amnesia. Not knowing who attacked him, Frankie searched, but due to alleged pay offs by Damon Alexander, no evidence was found. He got a job in HOW as a cameraman, which lead to his memory coming back after suffering a chair shot while being the cameraman for the House of Pain match at ICONIC. Since then Frankie has been a thorn in Scottywood's side, vowing to get payback.

As Commissioner Scottywood used it power to hold off Damien receiving the title shot, also with neither man being in the same bracket of the Lee best Invitational Tournament it didn't leave much available time for the match. And after a poor showing in Damien's first two tournament matches, it lead Scottywood to announce that Damien would have to fight to maintain his title shot. After soliciting bribes from wrestlers, he took $80,000 from former Best Alliance member Max Kael to have Christopher America face Damien Ryan on the February 2nd, 2009 edition of Mayhem.

Scottywood also hosts a TV show on the newly relaunched High Octane Television Network, and it is entitled H! True Octane Story. The show has been known to reveal shocking "facts" about fellow HOW superstars.

• Wrestling Style

Scottywood is mostly a brawler and will do whatever necessary to get his job done. His favorite style is hardcore wrestling, with a love to use any unusual weapon he can find near or under the ring. This is seen mostly with his trademark weapon the barbwire wraped hockey stick. He will also use a variety of DDTs to plant his opponents heads on a variety of weapons such as barbwire, steel chairs or even exposed concrete. Though when forced to abide by the traditional rules of wrestling he will fall back on a powerhouse style of wrestling, using his size and strength to get by, using a verity of slams and a vast repertoire of DDTs.
