Johannus "John" Bjorn Johanssen (born September 18, 1981), better known by his ring name "Normal" John Johnson, is an American professional wrestler. He is currently touring with Just Wrestling where he made his professional wrestling debut in 2009 at their Homecoming Tour.
Professional Wrestling Career
"Normal" John Johnson's debut in Just Wrestling was his first professional wrestling appearance after having trained at Joey Malone's wrestling school in Phoenix, Arizona, and putting his wrestling career on the sidelines while he and his wife, Jane Johanssen, began a family together.
Just Wrestling
Johnson's professional wrestling debut was against Juicy in which he recorded his first victory on the Homecoming Tour, where he would go on to face wrestling legend Kenjiro Ito, FWO superstar Max Danger and become the co-MVP of the tour with Hush. The only blemish, for lack of a better term, was being defeated on the final show by Jay Terror in his first attempt at trying to claim the Just Wrestling Championship.
Just Wrestling made their way across the Atlantic where they toured England in their second annual Lethal Lottery tour, seeing Johnson paired with Steve Harrison. Unfortunately for the duo they were knocked out of the tournament in their first round by co-MVP from the last tour Hush and Johnny Lexicon. This would be the beginning of a rivalry between Harrison and Johnson which would grow over the next few months after an issue with Harrison's management at a Trust Seminar which turned out to be a Couple's Retreat. Johnson was granted wildcard entry in the tournament which saw him paired with Curtis Penn, facing Impulse and the Sentinel, where they defeated them to proceed into the Lethal Lottery finals. Unfortunately for Johnson and Penn, they would be no match for the Back Alley Brawler who not only won the Lethal Lottery crown but tour MVP to boot.
Returning to America, Johnson was once again flying solo in the March Madness! tour, defeating Steve Harrison in New York on the second show of the tour to be granted the rights to book him on the next tour. The very next show, Johnson cashed in his title shot from the Homecoming Tour to take on Jay Terror, who was coming off a high in defeating the seemingly undefeatable Back Alley Brawler, where he defeated him and took his first wrestling crown and to become the first ever homegrown talent of Just Wrestling to win the Championship. At the show's finale, Johnson would go on to retain his title against Anathkash Dakari, Mike Rossi and the one and only Back Alley Brawler, much to the surprise of the wrestling world.
"Normal" John Johnson has signed on to tour with Just Wrestling in their tenth tour, Tour X.
