TEAM is an interpromotional governing body that promotes three major tournaments, four interfederational Championships and several SuperShows. Unlike other interfeds, there are no member feds, and all wrestlers in good standing in the community are welcome to participate in events.
History
Original Ideas
TEAM was started in 2005 by Jess Chapel. Chapel, a former booker with A1E and owner of the defunct UXW indie fed, started the promotion with the intent of fusing traditional professional wrestling with team-based sports like football and baseball. Chad Merritt actually coined the name "TEAM" for the fed.
Chapel started drumming up interest among the PTC, FW and EWN circuits. While he had more than a few free agents and rookies to fill the ranks of rogue teams, he found only minimal interest in committing full teams for a full slate of seasonal scheduling.
