'Jaymz Watkins (born December 18th, 1986) is an American professional wrestler, and former actor, who currently wrestles for the World Wrestling Alliance, a former member of the Primetime Central circuit.
Watkins is one of the fastest rising stars in the history of the WWA. He made his professional wrestling debut at Rage In The Cage XI in April, 2008.
He is already a former WWA World Heavyweight Champion, and though he didn't hold the title long, has proven himself worthy of his hype.
Early Life
"Danger Jaymz" was born Jaymz Watkins of New Orleans, LA. As with virtually any other human, he attended school, but unlike virtually any other human, he dropped out when his parents were killed in a vicious car crash. After their funeral, he disappeared from his home, listlessly wandering about the country, trying to "find himself," as the cliche goes.
Fortunately, he and Tobe Lovecraft, who was directing the newest flavor-of-the-month action film, had a chance encounter in a bar in Flagstaff, and Watkins was cast as the lead.
Acting Career
Instead of merely making back its cost, the movie, entitled "Driven Under", exploded, becoming an overnight cultural phenomenon and spawning numerous sequels; it could all be attributed to Watkins. His hero, Abraham, was charismatic and attractive, as is a prerequisite for most action stars, but had a little something else. It may have been that his bold action style so completely clashed with his dry, albeit grounded, personality that it made him all the more engaging. In addition, he insisted on doing every single stunt that his character performed, from fight scenes to long jumps, even down tremendous car chases with horrible crashes. He was sort of like an American Jackie Chan.
Watkins met his wife Nikki on the set of the second Abraham film, "Driven Over".
Career
World Wrestling Alliance
Watkins quit acting after his one off hit film role. Having a true passion for professional wrestling, he began training extensively under former GWO World Champion Nate Reznor, and adopted his "High-Impact" style, though their moveset is rather dissimilar.
A veritable newcomer to the wrestling scene, he was scouted by WWA Road Agent Kash, and was immediately signed to a multi year contract. He hoped to make a splash in the WWA.
He debuted in the World Wrestling Alliance to a less than stellar start, losing five straight matches. But over time he began to change, to the point where he finally entered the Bourbon Street Brawl 2008, as the man he is today. He had made a huge change, both pysically and mentally.
