Kash (born May 13th, 1977) is a Canadian professional wrestler who currently wrestles for the World Wrestling Alliance, a former member of the Primetime Central circuit.
Kash is a complex person, he is one of wrestlings true enigma's. He is a technically brilliant wrestler, who can match power with almost anyone. This makes Kash a man never to under-estimate.
Kash suffers from borderline schizophrenia with sociopathic tendencies, but he is greatly loved by WWA fans world wide....he has one hell of a sense of humour.
Early Life
Now, people say they were born on the streets, but the majority of them are simply paraphrasing. Kash, however, can say that that he was born directly on the streets, in the back alley of a Toronto nightclub. Kash never knew his real name, his mother died giving birth to him and the people on the streets generally don’t have last names, so he spent the first few nights of his life being called KK, based on the place where he was born, the back alley of The Kash Klub. After being found, he was taken to a local medical centre suffering from moderate hypothermia along with the usual trauma of just being born. So there he was, alone, nameless, scared. The next few years of his life are an unrecorded blur; the only constant being that he was shipped around homes and families more times than a child should ever have to go through.
At the age of eight, Kash ran away from the foster system that, to him, was more harm than help. Drifting around the streets of Toronto, remarkably, nobody noticing an eight year old boy alone on the streets, Kash ended up with a group of vagrants, who took him in and gave his the best sort of education, an education in the school of life. Basic skills were taught next to the art of how to survive the next day.
This was Kash’s life until he was 18, when, already at 6’2’’ and near 200lbs, a gang of thugs attacked him in an alley, apparently for no reasons. By the time the attack was over, Kash had merely a cut above the eye, whilst the attackers all needed hospitalisation for breaks and severe cuts. This stunned Kash, who had never seen his size and athletic ability as anything special. After the attack, Kash was sentenced to community service in a sentence which the judge admitted was “simply because my hands are tied, I cannot let you go totally free!”.
Kash was ordered to community service, which was to assist at a Toronto wrestling federation for 200 hours, assisting the ring crew, the wrestlers and the backroom staff, doing whatever was needed. That was it, Kash was hooked. Now, up until this point, Kash was known by one of his foster names, or by KK, he had never shown any preference, but when one of the wrestlers shortened his name to Kash, he finally had a preference. It was then, when Kash’s community service was over, that he made a deal to stay on and be trained as a wrestler, in return for continuing the work he was doing as his community service.
Career
Early Career
Kash stayed with the federation and began working and training, until his 19th birthday, when he made his pro debut, getting absolutely destroyed by the federations champion, a 350lb psychopath. Despite the beating, Kash was on his way and after his debut; he fought solidly and moderately successfully for another year, before he was offered a place in a Texas federation. The owners of his current federation let him go, and Kash moved to Sweetwater and the second phase of his training began.
Toronto was a strong wrestling based federation, but Texas was a whole different ball game. Working under the same arrangement as before, wrestle and work backstage, Kash learnt about the fighting and violent aspect of wrestling, and in his debut for the fed, he fought in a hardcore triple-threat, and won through in one of the bloodiest matches Kash has ever been in. Kash rose through the ranks, winning the tag titles along the way as part of the Insurgence. During this time, Kash wrestled under the gimmick of a slick rich kid; hair slicked back, with an attitude to match. After losing the tag belts, his team split, and the fed downsized due to financial concerns. Seeing this as an opportunity, Kash left the fed and travelled various countries. It was during this time, in England, that Kash became involved in the occult. He studied it intently, and upon returning to Texas, re-debuted as the Kash we know now, the slick black hair replaced by spiked blond locks and the Kashmission as his weapon of choice. Kash went through the federation, winning the tag titles with a young wrestler who came from the same Toronto federation as he did, and then running for the TV title in a long and bloody feud against his former Insurgence partner, which Kash eventually won in a violent cage match.
At ringside during this match were representatives from the BHWF, who, after consulting the owner and president, make Kash an offer to wrestle in England. Again, the Texas fed was struggling, so the BHWF brought out Kash’s contract and he made his debut in early 2002. Kash worked hard, and got a series of shots against the TV titleholder, who barely came away with his belt intact from several matches.
World Wrestling Alliance
After the BHWF closed, Kash was drafted by the WWA. Kash made his debut in a match against the Horsemen, and has since carried on through the ranks, beating such WWA names as Denrol, Shaman, Jim Black and Mighty Joe.
At Birthday Bash 2002, Kash claimed his first piece of WWA gold when he won the United States title in the unique Birthday Brawl match. That win took his WWA career to new heights and he embarked on a violent war with Damian Thorne which culminated in a bloody battle at Rage In The Cage 2003.
Kash lost the US Title but later that year, beat Ian Tense for the coveted World Title at Revolution, a title which he held till Birthday Bash that year.
Kash went out of the game for a while but returned to beat Shaman for the World Title, cementing his place as a future WWA legend. After being stripped of the title due to interference, Kash lost track of his career for a while, struggling to regain his former glory.
He returned again in 2007, and teamed with Dave Harley against The Elements of Opposition (Ry and Tarin Ballard), to become WWA World Tag Team Champions, together the fans dubbed them "The Old School" because of their contrasting styles compared to EoE.
After losing the Tag Team titles to The Weapons of Mass Destruction (Mick Vain and Vic Vicious), Kash became embroiled in a feud with Proteus, who would eventually break both of Kash's legs with a pick-up truck. Putting Kash out of action indefinately.
