United States Wrestling League is an affiliate of the EWZine community and hopefully one day PTC.
A Brief History:
The United States Wrestling League is a new wrestling promotion sanctioned in eight southern states of the United States of America. The birth of the USWL arrives from a joint venture involving former professional wrestler, James Wingate (better known to wrestling fans as Matt "The Hitman" Fury), and former United Toughness Alliance promoter, Jamie Sawyers.
Shows are recorded using equipment co-owned by the men via previous stints in professional wrestling promoting. They can be viewed on various local broadcast stations in the south, and can also be purchased on DVD for $9.95 plus shipping. Make sure to visit the USWL shopette for ordering information. The United States Wrestling League mixes good old fashioned wrasslin' with today's edge. The common goal of the USWL is not the be "Sports Entertainment", but to be sports that is entertaining. Unlike many promotions today, the USWL tells the story mostly by its in-ring encounters.
Although relatively new physically, the United States Wrestling League is a product many years in the making. It's roots stretch back to the late 1980's through early in the new millennium, living through different variations of several promotions that both owners have been associated with.
