GTT7
PTC's GTT tournament has been on permanent hiatus since the conclusion of the 2006 edition - GTT6.
A poll posted on March 15 2009 revealed favorable responses towards running GTT7.
On June 26, 2009, Pete announced that GTT7 would take place during 2009.
Guaranteed Spots
Guaranteed spots are awarded in the leadup to GTT. These allow people to secure a berth in GTT in the event that there are more applicants than there are spots in the tournament.
- James Varga - any character, won in IG63
- SCCW member to be nominated (by Joe) won in IG65
- Aaron Dillon - any character, won in IG67.
Seeds
A seeding system "like Wimbledon" has been announced as part of GTT7's tournament format. This is a first for any PTC event.
16 seeds will be selected based on an assessment of promos submitted by aspiring entrants.
Prizes
First prize is a donation to the charity of the winner's choice. Money for the donation is being collected from community members. Depending on the amount raised, the runner up may also be awarded a donation choice.
