Coral Avalon
Coral Avalon (born Coral Dylan Avalon on December 22nd, 1981) is a semi-retired American professional wrestler last employed by PRIME. He is known for his in-ring "code of honor" that he adheres to regardless of fan allegeance.
Early Life
What can be discerned from Coral Avalon's records is that he was born in Australian waters to his American family. His family were highly wealthy and eccentric, and named Coral after the substance found in the Great Barrier Reef. Although Coral himself is commonly mum about his family, it's known that he wants as little to do with the family as possible.
Coral got into wrestling at an early age and attempted to find a way to break into the business. His parents disapproved and prevented him from engaging in too long of a career as an amateur wrestler. Finally, when Coral turned eighteen, he left his family's mansion in New Orleans and was briefly trained by Kent Anthason before being sent to get trained by Joey Malone as well. He stumbled around the independents before finding his way to the IWO in 2002.

However, Coral's stint in IWO was brief, uneventful, and a bit humiliating. He lost several times to Those Damned Mexicans with various partners until Coral left the promotion.
Action! Wrestling
Coral caught his big break in [Action! Wrestling], at first appearing as a stuttering rookie. He came out of the blue for an unannounced match with Angelica Dawson, and eventually began a long feud with [Jeff Garvin]. Garvin and Avalon hated each other almost immediately upon meeting, and engaged in several tough matches throughout their Action! Wrestling tenure. However, although Garvin defeated Avalon in their first encounter, Avalon would go on to defeat Garvin nearly every single time they faced each other since then.
At Players & Pawns 2002, Coral Avalon and Jeff Garvin met in an Ironman match, which Avalon won 3-2 after outlasting Garvin's Hammer Jammer until the time limit expired. The match was voted Action! Wrestling's "Match of the Year" in A!W's only year-end award and represented a turning point in Avalon's fortunes in Action. He got involved in a large war between his trainer, Joey Malone, and his rival, Daniel Phillips. At first, Malone treated him with hostility and engaged him in a match, but Avalon defeated his trainer and reconciled with him. They went on to challenge Phillips and his tag partner, Duncan Fletcher, for the Action! Dyad Championships. Phillips and Fletcher won the match, and the next night, Phillips injured Coral's arm.
During this time, Coral tried to take perinnial Action! loser, Chris Chambers, under his wing. Jeff Garvin took exception and challenged Chris CHambers to a match, but it was all a setup to assault Avalon, with Chambers assisting in the attack. Coral, incensed at the betrayal, eventually fought Keith Scott Zimmerman and Chris Chambers to earn a title shot against Jeff Garvin and his Bantam Championship at Juggernaut II.
There, Coral managed to defeat Garvin with a rollup after enduring much of Garvin's offense (including three Original Slams) to capture the championship. He went on to have several high profile title defenses, including a pay-per-view defense against Zimmerman, a successful interfed defense against Voran Xias of fWo, and several others, before finally losing the title to Max Danger in a difficult battle.
After losing the title, Coral refocused his attention on Jeff Garvin, now Action! Wrestling's top champion. Avalon overcame many obstacles to earn his championship shot, including defeating Garvin in a six-man tag, suffering a broken nose at the hands of HardCase, and defeating "Impulse" Brian James on pay-per-view. Garvin, now realizing that Avalon had his number, refocused his own efforts on Avalon and attacked him from a different angle: his friends. Garvin assaulted nearly everyone who was associated with Coral Avalon, including Avalon's love at the time in Allison Lindum.
The stage was set at Players & Pawns 2003, a Last Man Standing match. However, Jeff's strategy leading up to the match nearly backfired in his face, as the Coral Avalon that Jeff Garvin encountered was an Avalon never before seen, one that was out for blood and vengeance. Garvin only retained his championship through the use of a steel chair and the Memphis Death Certificate.
Contractual issues between Avalon and Action! Wrestling, however, caused Avalon to leave. His leaving turned out to be one of many that followed in an unprescedented exodus from the promotion. Many wrestlers from Action! Wrestling were later invited to join a new promotion... the Squared Circle.
the Squared Circle
Unfortunately for Avalon, his new home was nearly sabotaged right off the bat by Keith Scott Zimmerman, who very nearly emotionally paralyzed him by revealing that he was sleeping with his ex-girlfriend, Allison Lindum, whom he was still in love with.
Avalon suffered a near-unending losing streak, only broken when he defeated the phenom Japanese wrestler, the School Girl (Inoue Doi). Coral defeated the Flying Frenchie at Dawning, but lost in his bid to win the Championship from [Alias] at Unprovoked in a match also involving Coral's tSC rival at the time, [Brandon Youngblood]. Although Coral had a much worse win-loss record in tSC than he did in Action!, he improved upon his submission skills enough to become the first man to make Youngblood tap out in a match.
Avalon later unsuccessfully challenged [Sonny Silver] for the Championship on the show right after Silver won the Championship, and engaged in a feud with Dave Morey that saw Avalon suffer numerous abuses at Morey's hands after Avalon broke Morey's expensive sunglasses. Avalon lost to Dave Morey at Sinners & Saints, and left the Squared Circle after one final loss to Michelle Masters.
fWo and ACW
After a long tour of Japan, Coral Avalon came back to America to wrestle in both the [Fans Wrestling Organization] and [All-Star Championship Wrestling]. In the former, Coral teamed up with fellow Malone student and long-time friend, [the Codemaster], to form the [Blue Rogues]. The newly formed team challenged Silver & Gold, consisting of Sonny Silver and [Lindsay Troy], for the fWo Tag Titles. The Rogues won after a bit of cheating on Codemaster's part and held the tag titles until they lost them to [High Flyer] and Rana Venenosa, which Codemaster seemed to have done intentionally.
Meanwhile, Avalon debuted in ACW strongly, very narrowly losing out in a bid to win the ACW World Heavyweight Championship in his debut match against Khristain Keller. Avalon then ended up in a feud with Lowell Dot Com and his lackey, Jimmy Cain. over the ACW Scorpion Fighting Championship. Lowell, Avalon, and Cain fought in a six-man match for the ACW Scorpion Fighting Title, in which Cain turned on Lowell and pinned him to eliminate him. However, Lowell lingered at ringside and caused the match to go to a time-limit draw, causing Lowell to actually retain his title due to a technicality.
The feud escalated until ACW Legends, where Lowell unleashed his brainchild: Gimmick Hell. A match of such brutality and pain that it left a lasting impression in ACW for weeks to come. Avalon actually fought the match without using any weapons, unlike Cain and Lowell, and despite being the most injured of the three by the match's end, Avalon managed to win the convoluted match to win the ACW Scorpion Fighting Championship.
After the match, Avalon was barely the same and the nagging injuries caused by the match limited him in the ring. After losing the title to tSC rival Brandon Youngblood, Avalon left ACW to heal from his injuries and he eventually returned to Japan.
PRIME
After a tour of Japan, Coral reformed the Blue Rogues with the Codemaster and his group of flunkies and went to PRIME. Although the Rogues were initially unsuccessful in winning the Tag Team Championships from then-champions Lindsay Troy and Danny Ferguson, they won the titles a week later in a Tag Title Battle Royale, last eliminating Das Korps.
The Rogues held the tag titles for nearly three months, fending off Das Korps twice as well as the team of [Vangelus Olsig] and [Machavelli St. Romani], but friction between Avalon and Codemaster led to the team's demise shortly after losing the tag titles to Olsig and Romani at Colossus IV.
Since this time, Coral Avalon has not wrestled in the national scene, for reasons unknown.
the Squared Circle, once again
Avalon has appeared off-and-on in the Squared Circle since his initial departure, but in his most recent run, he captured the Championship from [Steve Knox].
