Biography

John Covel was a top baseball prospect early on in life. He was called up to the Chicago Cubs major league team on June 3rd, 2003. In his final Triple A Iowa start, his temper got the best of him after a comment by an umpire. The ensuing attack with a baseball bat on said umpire was enough to get him banned from the game for life. So John began pursuing his second love, wrestling. He made his debut with FUSE Wrestling in early 2006 and was immediately thrust into a best of five series against The Preacher for the C.U.S.T.O.M CHAOS Championship. Covel captured the belt in a ladder match. He would make no successful defenses, losing the belt two weeks later to Tigera, whom would later become a big pain in his side. At KillZone 10, John defeated Jorge Sammuelson to become the LiveWire Champion. He went on to successfully defend the title the next week, breaking the LiveWire curse that had fallen on champions. John would go on and hold the belt for a record setting 82 days before relinquishing the title to chase Tigera and a shot at the Universal Title. He would get that match at ReVolution, where he defeated the champion to become only the second Triple Crown winner in FUSE history. John lost the Universal Title to Clinton Sage a month later before regaining it from Jacob McKail going into FUSE's event, Afflicted Glory. John would defend the title in a triple threat match against Clinton Sage and Jacob McKail. Clinton Sage would come out victorious. Covel's last appearance in FUSE was at the War in Washington event in the number one contenders match. He has since disappeared from FUSE television, nobody knowing of his where-abouts.
