The main storyline heading into the event was Tyler Nelson and his 'Army' and their quest to usurp Lisa Tyler in an effort to take over PRIME. The 'Army' (Hessian, Chainz, and the Wolves of Slaughter) harrassed Lisa Tyler at every turn leading up to the event. Lisa Tyler was also nagged by the constant presence of Devin Shakur, who purchased the Golden Ticket at Great American Nightmare 2009.
 
Jason Snow, the long reigning Universal Champion, ended up stepping into the frey when defending his Championship against Nelson. He was never officially on the side of either Tyler, but he wasn't a fan of the politics Nelson was using.

After a brief opener featuring PRIME's theme song "Sound of Madness", a small segment with Lisa Tyler and Blaine Blair was featured. The two briefly discussed matters at hand, including their wishes for Tyler Nelson to cease and desist along with a mention of wrestler limitations and lawsuits stemming from a riot on ReVolution 214. All signs seemed to be positive, although Lisa seemed a bit tense. The last image from the segment saw Lisa staring at her cellular phone.
 
The first of two JITC Semifinal matches took place, as Chainz squared off against Brandon Youngblood. The crowd reception for Youngblood was surprising, given he wasn't well liked by the masses. Most attributed this to his opposition, who was considered the most devious man on the roster at the time. Chainz also came into this match riding an eleven match win streak, beating the old record of 10 set by Rock Startling. Another gimmick going into the match surrounded Youngblood and his refusal to speak until he got a chance at the Universal Title. Chainz started the match out displaying his submission abilities, and dominated the early portion of the match. It wasn't until Youngblood was fully able to utilize his suplex and technical wrestling prowess that the tide of the match changed. Both men stuck to their strengths until the bitter end, until Youngblood nailed his modified spinebuster to gain a pinfall over Chainz, and advance into the Jewel in the Crown Finals.
 
A small segment featuring Tony Gamble and his Oompa friends (Pink and Burgundy) was shown. The trio traded jokes for a brief period until Gamble said he needed to have his game face on, although he wasn't sure either of his subordinates packed it. The segment ended with a joke regarding LeBron James.

Highlights from the match included Tchu landing a Downfall rather early, but Rayne was able to kick out. The crowd was clearly divided on who to cheer for, starting a dual chant for both Rayne and Tchu. The Inhuman Being showed a newfound sense of aggression in the match, taking the fight straight to Rayne. The Underground Pimp was able to counter with a moonsault and get the tide in his favor. Rayne landed his Varga'd finisher, but Tchu defied the odds and kicked out. Even a Broken Soul, another of Tchu's patented signature maneuvers couldn't seal the deal. Both men went back and forth, exchanging big move after big move and shocking the crowd each and every time the other was able to kick out. The move which won the match for Rayne was a crucifix pinfall.

Shakur's brother, Christian Daniels, attempted to get Cynthia on the line but received no answer. Gamble was reassured by Shakur someone would go and check things out. A series of mind games via the audio were played on The Grin, first featuring the music of Hessian, followed by Chainz. Finally, Tyler Nelson's music hit the speakers and the entire group (Nelson, Chainz, Hessian, and Kazys Jankauskas) emerged from the back to beat down Gamble. The mystery opponent was actually Elise Ares, who rushed from the back in an attempt to capture the gold. She ended up failing, as Gamble's running buddies came out to assist The Grin. The match became a game of cat and mouse, each side running interference until the referee decided to throw the contest out. Blaine Blair threw open the curtain and announced a rematch for ReVolution 215 where no outside participants would be allowed. Gamble nodded approvingly while Ares flipped her lid.

Lisa Tyler finally received the phone call she had been waiting on, and stepped out of her office to encounter Christian Daniels. Daniels pulled a folder from behind his back and handed it to Lisa. The folder contained documents, which would later be revealed as dirt acquired on Tyler Nelson. Lisa, in turn, handed Daniels a phone which could turn power off in the entire building. It would also be revealed the switch would assist Shakur in his match against Hessian if he failed to get up before the count of ten.
 
A triple tag team match was scheduled next, featuring The Wolves of Slaughter and Change in Spades squaring off against The Redeemed. Redeemed was looking to defend their straps, while The Wolves were looking to come away with one piece of gold. All three teams showed flashes of brilliance in the match, but in the end, neither of the aforementioned teams walked away with the gold. Change in Spades would capture the belts and become the last Tag Champions, as the division would be suspended after their Culture Shock 2010 title defense.
 
In an attempt to even the odds, Hessian brutally assaulted Christian Daniels in the backstage area. The Murder Show made a declaration of "You will NOT get in my way tonight!" before departing toward the ring.

Shakur and Hessian would each go to extreme lengths just to come out on top in the match, Shakur launching himself in a cannonball onto the steel stairs, just to injure Hessian. Hessian landed a Godsmack, one of the most powerful one handed punches in the business, to regain control. Even Shakur crashing through the steel barricade couldn't put The Man in Black down. Both men headed backstage where Shakur utilized his MMA background to gain control, striking Hessian into oblivion. After a full body blow into the ladder from Shakur, Hessian ended up chasing Shakur up the PRIME*View, which was part of Shakur's plan all along. Hessian appeared to be ready to land the Hellevator and secure the Golden Ticket when a figure attacked Hessian. It turned out to be Chainz, who waited a long time to do what he was about to do, according to his own words. Hessian was powerbombed through the PRIME*View, leaving a giant hole in the screen. Shakur secured the victory and kept his Golden Ticket.

Shakur, with a champagne bottle in hand, offered some to the former alcoholic Snow, who turned it down. The two jabbered back and forth until Snow gave a firm warning to Shakur to stay away from the ring. Shakur agreed on the grounds he had bigger fish to fry.

The match was a monumental moment in the careers of both men, as Rayne made it to this exact spot last year while Youngblood was looking to break through the glass ceiling and get a Universal Championship shot. The match went on for close to 40 minutes with each wrestler landing almost every move in their arsenal and then some. Fans were dazzled, shocked, stunned, every word one can conceivably think up. In the end, both men were left standing, exhausted, and it was Youngblood who landed a spinebuster for the pinfall victory and the chance to go onto Culture Shock 2010 to fight for the Universal Title against Jason Snow.

However, everybody in the building had their eyes tuned for the match. It was a known fact going in Nelson would not be able to outwrestle one of the greatest, if not the greatest, all around wrestlers in the game, but he could certainly outsmart and outplay Snow in the politics department. The match being under lumberjack rules didn't help either as a lot of key players were involved. A returning Chandler Tsonda ended up saving the day for Jason Snow, who was able to even the match up for the Snow camp. Snow landed a Snake Eyes and put Nelson's lights out, retaining the Universal Title.
 
However, the conclusion of the Main Event provided far more fireworks than anticipated. Once Snow exited the area, Lisa Tyler emerged from the back ready to confront Nelson. She started off the back and forth by having everyone wonder who Tyler Nelson really was. Tyler revealed she hired a private investigator and revealed a folder with information on Nelson. The private investigator, or rather investigators, revealed themselves to be Devin Shakur and Christian Daniels. After Shakur gave Lisa the microphone back, the real name of Tyler Nelson was revealed as James Allen. It was revealed Nelson had been scamming everybody all along, but Allen tried convincing his army to make one final push. Elise Ares stepped up and tried to slap Lisa Tyler, but Shakur took her place and decided to take the stage for himself. He decided to cash in his Golden Ticket. Shakur claimed he was the new boss in PRIME and everybody in the building fell hush. Shakur also claimed he was on the Board of Directors, although only a member and not in full control. The Man in Black had one final ace up his sleeve, proving he couldn't be trusted by anybody. He was taking Blaine Blair's spot on the Board, much to the shock of Blair. Shakur dropped the microphone and the Nelson Army decided to dispose of their former leader. Chainz dropped Nelson with the Chain Reaction before Lisa Tyler delivered the harsh news to Nelson, that he was fired. The crowd exploded in cheer and the Pay-Per-View drew to a close.

From a wrestling perspective, the card had some hits and misses. Most fans were reportedly pleased with how the event went down, especially those firmly against Tyler Nelson. The Pay-Per-View, due to the battle and culmination of the Nelson/Lisa Tyler battle drew 534,000 buys, coming in second to Colossus VI. Brandon Youngblood vs Tyler Rayne was seen as a Match of the Year candidate
 
==Aftermath==
 
Tyler Nelson's Army kept themselves in tack and actually got stronger under the new leadership of Elise Ares. She was able to keep Hessian (for a brief period) along with Chainz, Kazys Jankauskas, Cyrus Sutherland and the Osaka Street Cutters. Together they would run roughshod over PRIME throughout most of the Culture Shock arc until they fell apart.
 
Brandon Youngblood would go on and feud with Jason Snow, although in a rather unique way. He teamed up with The Original Villain to form the SOB (Standard of Bastards) alongside Boda, who made a return after a long hiatus.

Chainz dropped Nelson with the Chain Reaction before Lisa Tyler delivered the harsh news to Nelson, that he was fired. The crowd exploded in cheer and the Pay-Per-View drew to a close.

Reception

From a wrestling perspective, the card had some hits and misses. Most fans were reportedly pleased with how the event went down, especially those firmly against Tyler Nelson. The Pay-Per-View, due to the battle and culmination of the Nelson/Lisa Tyler battle drew 534,000 buys, coming in second to Colossus VI. Brandon Youngblood vs Tyler Rayne was seen as a Match of the Year candidate

Aftermath

Tyler Nelson's Army kept themselves in tack and actually got stronger under the new leadership of Elise Ares. She was able to keep Hessian (for a brief period) along with Chainz, Kazys Jankauskas, Cyrus Sutherland and the Osaka Street Cutters. Together they would run roughshod over PRIME throughout most of the Culture Shock arc until they fell apart.

Brandon Youngblood would go on and feud with Jason Snow, although in a rather unique way. He teamed up with The Original Villain to form the SOB (Standard of Bastards) alongside Boda, who made a return after a long hiatus.

King of Kings 2009 was held in the Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Center in Birmingham, Alabama on December 20th, 2009
